Godzilla 2000 Full Movie Kickass Torrent
Show Spoiler
646f9e108c A mysterious organism begins to scout about Japan, while Godzilla makes his return and a family of scientist track his every move. But when trouble soon arises, the king of the monster gets more than he bargained for when that mysterious organism draws it's attention to him all leading up to something they cannot begin to imagine.
This movie ignores all the other Godzilla movies except the original. Godzilla has attacked Japan twice more in the 60's-80's after his first appearance. Now it's 1999, and the Godzilla Prediction Network (GPN) is studying and tracking Godzilla when he appears on the coast of Nemuro. He completely destroys the city. Earlier that week, a 60 million year old rock was discovered. Without warning it begins to float and heads for a meeting with Godzilla in Tokai Mura. Godzilla uses his ultra-powerful fire breath (incredibly stronger than in the first movies) and breaks the rocks to reveal a UFO!!! The UFO blows Godzilla back into the sea with a hyperblaster but lands and ceases all activities due to the damage caused by Godzilla. Later, the UFO takes off for Shinjuku where the final battle between the UFO and Godzilla takes place. The UFO transforms into a monster dubbed Orga and resumes attacks on Godzilla. Can Godzilla defeat the strange alien creature? What other tricks do these titans have up their sleeves?
I'm relatively new to the original Godzilla series. The only other Godzilla film I've ever seen is the 1998 Hollywood version (and I don't care what anyone thinks, I still like that one).<br/><br/>Anyway, Godzilla 2000 is the first of the original Godzilla films since 1995's Godzilla Vs. Destoroyah and the first to be realeased in North American cinemas since Godzilla 1985: The Legend is Reborn. So what did I, an almost virgin to the Godzilla series think? Well…<br/><br/>First, a little about the film. Godzilla returns, slightly smaller (150 feet instead of 400) to attempt another raid on Tokyo. Meanwhile, there are these scientists who unearth a mysterous stone stratum underwater only to find out that its an alien space craft that's been in suspended animation for 16 million years (Cecil B. DeMille is spinning in his grave). Soon after that, the aliens pursue Godzilla cuz the big guy has some sort of gene that can help them populate Earth. So naturally, its up to Godzilla to once again play the unlikely hero and save the world.<br/><br/>If I had any beefs about this film, its that it spends way too much time on the alien space craft, and too little time on Godzilla. After all, the film is called "GODZILLA 2000"! I guess the director just wanted to create some suspense. Storywise, this movie could have been better, but does anybody really see a Godzilla movie (or ANY monster movie for that matter) for its story and acting? Hell no! They see it to watch Godzilla wipe his feet on Tokyo (or New York if you're counting the 1998 film WHICH I STILL LIKE!!!!).<br/><br/>As for the acting, its hard to tell what the original acting was like since the film had to be dubbed for its North American realese, so I can't really fairly comment. I will say that at least the dubbing isn't literal as many overseas films tend to be. Unfortunatly, this doesn't mean Godzilla 2000 doesn't have its share of corny lines. (Wait until the end of the film, and you will hear the mother of all corny lines!)<br/><br/>Visually, Godzilla 2000 is half and half. While granted, there are odd pieces of eye candy, the special effects for the most part are in keeping with the tradition of the Godzilla series in that they're incredibly cheesy. No longer the computer animation of the 1998 picture (WHICH I STILL LIKE!!!!!), Godzilla is once again a guy in a rubber suit (though a much better looking rubber suit at that) shaped oddly enough like a pear. Also, one can't stare at the scenes where the helicopters, fighter jets, and flying saucer are flying through the sky without thinking, "I can see the blue screen for chrissakes!"<br/><br/>In closing, Godzilla 2000 is a movie for people that are a fan of the giant lizard and his movies. I myself enjoyed it, but only because I like to see stuff get destroyed.<br/><br/>Overall: 3 1/2 stars out of 5
In all honesty, I usually enjoy the campy, b-movie charm of the Godzilla movies. The great miniature work and the monster fights usually make up for nonsensical plots or cliché human characters. But nothing makes up for a boring Godzilla movie in my book. If you're making a movie about giant, fighting monsters the biggest sin you could commit is be boring. The perfectly simplistic plot still gets dragged out for most of the run time, where we're only introduced to a new kaiju in the last 30 minutes. The rest of the time we can watch Godzilla battle it out with a flying saucer. Riviting. You know your fight scenes lack any sense of emergency when all your villains basically die standing around being useless. The human characters are annoying. No one likable. The potentially charming father-daughter scientific duo never does anything besides being pretentious, self-important assholes. Honestly the movie could have been way better, have they focused on Godzilla and the monster fights. The effects (explosions, destruction of buildings, atomic breath) were great (save that flying saucer) along with the new suit. If they gave two shits about choreography or pacing the whole thing would have turned out fine. I understand that this movie was Godzilla's great return after 1995 and a lot of people may have major nostalgia for it, but in my personal experience with the franchise, there are way better flicks out there.
Another traditional Japanese production, weakly plotted, woodenly acted and indifferently dubbed.
To tighten the film for theaters, several scenes have been shortened at the beginning or ending (arrivals, pan shots to faces etc.). As a result of that, there are more than 100 cuts in the US Version.<br/><br/>Furthermore, the order of some scenes has been changed, and the soundtrack and the sound effects have been edited. For example, Godzilla is given some roars from the recent American Godzilla film, the monster Orga's roar, originally a stock roar used for Cretaceous King Ghidorah in <a href="/title/tt0189764/">Mosura 3: Kingu Gidora raishu (1998)</a>, is replaced with a new more menacing bellow, and some of <a href="/name/nm0006136/">Akira Ifukube</a>'s cues are worked into the soundtrack.
